Before paying
Check that the service is available to your account and accepts your chosen card. Universal and Universal+ differ in fees and issuing country; the merchant may apply its own restrictions.
Check the card balance allowing for fees, conversion and verification charges. Use Card Details for the number, expiry and CVV, and SafePay Billing for the holder name and address. Keep the service profile information accurate.
Complete checkout
- Sign in to Airbnb, choose the stay, dates and guests. Before paying, read cancellation terms and the full total.
- At checkout, choose an available card option. Check whether the full amount is collected now or later payments are scheduled.
- Add your card with SafePay billing, complete authentication and open the reservation status in Trips.
Other ways to complete Airbnb checkout
If Airbnb presents Apple Pay for your reservation, an eligible Universal+ can be selected in Apple Wallet. If Airbnb presents Google Pay, an eligible SafePay card saved in Google Wallet may be selected. These options depend on the merchant’s actual checkout and account region; they are not universal alternatives for every booking. Confirm dates, guests, total charges, cancellation policy and scheduled future charges before paying.
If Airbnb asks for an SMS to verify your account
A verification SMS required for the Airbnb account is different from a SafePay 3D Secure request. Check that your own phone number is correctly entered with its country code and can receive SMS from Airbnb. If the service does not support your number or no code arrives, use Airbnb’s official account-verification help. SafePay cannot resend an Airbnb login SMS.
After confirmation
A booking request and a confirmed reservation are different states: a host response may be required. For scheduled payments, maintain enough funds and check the payment method before the charge date. Refund conditions depend on the reservation and Airbnb rules.
If a 3D Secure request appears, complete the confirmation shown in SafePay, then return to the merchant. Do not pay again while the result is pending. For an error, keep its text, time and amount.
