How to get started with SafePay

Sign in on the website or Telegram, choose a card, issue it and make the first top-up.

Updated

Open the app

SafePay works in a browser and as a Telegram app. On the website, register with email and verify it using the email you receive; on Telegram, open the official bot. Keep using the sign-in method you used to issue the card: email and Telegram accounts are not automatically assumed to be linked.

Get a card

  1. Select Get card and compare Universal and Universal+. Currently, one card is available per account.
  2. Review the terms and issuance price: 35 USDT for Universal or 45 USDT for Universal+.
  3. Follow checkout. If your available account balance covers issuance, the app uses it; otherwise, select a cryptocurrency and network and pay the invoice.
  4. Wait for successful issuance. Then top up the card separately for purchases; the issuance fee is not your spending balance.

The $5 bonus is credited on the first eligible successful card top-up, rather than at issuance.

Choose the card for the service you want to pay

Before issuance, decide which merchant and which payment channel you need. Universal is a Hong Kong virtual card with Google Pay support; Universal+ is a Singapore virtual card that also supports Apple Pay and is advertised for ChatGPT and Claude. Universal does not support ChatGPT or Claude. A supported card does not guarantee a particular merchant or account will accept it.

For a purchase on a website, enter the card number, expiration date, CVV and billing details from SafePay. For Apple Pay or Google Pay, first add the eligible card to the corresponding device Wallet, then select that payment method only if the merchant offers it. For purchases billed by the App Store or Google Play, configure the store’s own payment methods separately.

Fund the card, then make the first purchase

Do not confuse the issuance price with spending balance. After the card is issued, top it up separately before shopping. Normal card top-ups use the in-app cryptocurrency invoice: always use the exact token, network, address and amount shown by SafePay, and do not assume another provider’s shared-wallet or bank-transfer instructions apply.
