Before paying
Check that the service is available to your account and accepts your chosen card. Universal and Universal+ differ in fees and issuing country; the merchant may apply its own restrictions.
Check the card balance allowing for fees, conversion and verification charges. Use Card Details for the number, expiry and CVV, and SafePay Billing for the holder name and address. Keep the service profile information accurate.
Complete checkout
- Sign in to the intended Google Account and open YouTube Premium. Check that membership is available in your actual country.
- Choose an individual or another eligible plan. For a family plan, check the household requirements for members.
- At checkout, choose an eligible card method, enter SafePay details and confirm the purchase.
Optional purchase in the iPhone app
Where the official YouTube iPhone app actually offers an Apple in-app purchase, open the intended Google Account, find the available Purchases and memberships or Premium upgrade flow, review the price and confirm using the Apple system purchase sheet. The eligible card must be configured under Apple Account → Payment & Shipping, which is separate from Apple Wallet. A website redirect means this is not an Apple-billed transaction.
If you already subscribe through Google or another channel, check the existing membership first. Manage an Apple-billed renewal in iPhone Settings → Subscriptions and a Google-billed membership with YouTube or Google. YouTube’s genuine country and household requirements still apply; a VPN is not a valid way to misrepresent the account’s country.
After confirmation
Check paid membership and renewal in YouTube. Use app-store settings if the membership was purchased there. If YouTube cannot verify your country, follow its help instructions and contact Google support.
If a 3D Secure request appears, complete the confirmation shown in SafePay, then return to the merchant. Do not pay again while the result is pending. For an error, keep its text, time and amount.
YouTube requires accurate country information and may cancel membership for location misrepresentation using a VPN. A card does not remove regional rules.
