Prepare your device
Google Pay is advertised for both SafePay cards. Contactless payments require a compatible Android device with NFC, a screen lock and an available Google Wallet. Google sets device security and regional requirements; saving a card does not by itself mean contactless payments are ready.
Add and verify the card
- Open Google Wallet → Add to Wallet → Payment card → new card.
- Enter the number, expiry and CVV from SafePay. For requested holder and billing fields, use your own card’s Billing information.
- Save the details, accept the issuer terms and complete the offered verification.
- Check that Wallet marks the card ready to pay. For in-store payment, unlock your device and hold it near a compatible terminal.
If addition fails, check Wallet requirements, the error text and card status. Do not use invented account details to pass verification.
If Google Wallet cannot add the card
Adding a card for tap-to-pay is separate from adding it as a Google Play payment method.
- Check Android version, Google Wallet availability, NFC for contactless payments, screen lock, Internet access and any device-integrity requirements shown by Google.
- Confirm that you entered the details of the intended Universal or Universal+ card and the card’s own Billing information.
- Select only a verification channel actually offered by Google Wallet or the issuer. An SMS delivery method does not necessarily mean the code will arrive through Telegram. If no code arrives, do not request many codes repeatedly.
- If Google Wallet mentions a device, country or phone-number restriction, follow Google’s and the issuer’s official eligibility instructions. Changing to a foreign SIM or eSIM or spoofing location is not guaranteed to remove a restriction.
- Save the message and request time. Ask SafePay Support to check card-side enrollment if Google instructs you to contact the issuer.
